@Milo Man,
Those reels look great!.
I would love to know how the clutch/break/drag system works.

It is a leather washer compressed by a nut and steel washer. the steel washer has a D shaped hole in the middle which runs on a D shaped shaft which is threaded to the end.

I had a blonde moment when dismantling it and damaged the ball bearing. I'm in two minds whether to start over or attempt to remove the bearing which may break the reel because it was cast into the reel with epoxy. (Which is why I damaged it  :nuts: ) Haven't given up on it though. Got some other stuff to do presently.

Thanks for the interest :-)

Come to think of it CLS, if I heat the hub slightly with the heat gun, the epoxy will soften and I may be able to remove it without breaking the reel :hehe: Thanks for the enquiry - made me think again, for a change.
