Aluminiumn Frame tackle Box Mod's

 :new:
Howsit Guys
Sawed sanded, glued and hammered a few compartments together and fitted them to the plastic Trommel, to establish some order in my tackle box. This box proves to be the 'better' in my opinion - it can get the better of you too (your lower back and shoulders will alert you if you are overweight/overpacked)

So I think...  :hyst: ...... (hit) ...ive done the right thing here... prty
I can now carry a max of 3 reels .... :hyst: :hyst: .....and all the other associated fishing tackle.

Thanks Reef's  :wlcmbk

Nice one Psy , nothing worse than scrathing through piles of tackle in the box ,looking for something ,specially in the dark, on mine i just added a tray that fits in the top of plastic box , has all the smaller stuff in which usually works its way to the bottom of the box... not any more though, now its all with in reach and stays put :thmsup" .

Bliksem!!  My tackle box is still a virgin and I am already tempted to start making mods after reading this thread.  Excelent suggestions guys.

Decided to commit and made myself one for my tackle box as well. Used thinner (6mm) marine ply and strengthened the corners by using aluminium angle iron and pop rivets. Finished of with a coat of linseed oil.

Angus, very neat, nice work!  w;k

@ Khan, yes the pouch fits well! Velcro to the lid firstly with bostik. What I have since fitted are induvidual velcro fasteners on each pouch. I did not sew them on I just supaglued them! Now the traces stay where they should.
This type of pouch is a must for this type of box, I have found it takes up no extra space and numerous pre-made traces can be placed in the respective pockets.
Thankyou once more.
