Sunday "Three" species .....

We managed to take the gap in the weather on Sunday.  Started off early with a 2kg bonnie, that for some reason my crew thought was a 28kg tuna and was going to spool him... sry .

Then while fishing for snoek, we hook into about a 7kg hammerhead shark on a duster which revved us a bit. Finally just before lines up I hook into something decent on the backline,  :sreel: :sreel: :sreel: :fshn: , I expertly open the throttle and turn the boat and head for deeper water, while screaming to my crew to clear the other lines.. :sreel: :sreel: :sreel: , We get everything sorted and I start fighting the beast, "its got a bit of weight" I said to my first mate while pumping and reeling :fshn: :fshn: ...."Don't force it!" was the advice from my crewman, gaff in hand...."its fighting funny" I replied ...."its on the top.." ......"what the hell is it?"......

Well we ended the day with 1x 2kg Bonnie, 1 x Hammerhead (released) and 1x Checkers packet,....pollution is real

duh :hyst:  Unlucky there George, next time.

Was the Checkers packet size, or did you release it?

Howzit gents, been quiet on this thread for too long.

We launched on Saturday morning and decided to fish south for a change. It was more of a final boat test and to get a feel of the boat for me.

We were fishing between the 70-100m mark down south and at about 8 am went away with 3 skippies which were all safely released.
I then reset the spread and 2 mins later went away with this nice queen dorado. Was so lekker to be back on the water and blood the deck with a lovely fish.

Till next time,

Mag.

Well done Scott great boat and fish, weather hasn't been too good for us weekend anglers but I have been out a couple trips on Greg Fullers boat doing a bit of bottom fishing which has been rather successful landing some big captain fines and soldiers. Till the weather allows us see you on the water. :fshn: :fshn: :fshn:
A bad days fishing is better than sitting at home moping.
