We fished Saturday, whilst catching bait, FFF put out a live Mackerel, not even a minute and we had a screamer, almost spooled us on first go, FFF was winning battle and said something not right fish coming easy now, when the fish checked the boat he was off again, huge head shakes with reel on full drag that tuna still stripped line as if the drag was free, after about 25min the grey suit relieved us of what would have been a bus tuna. I put a second bait out and 5min on again but this time was definitely a johnson as that oke sat straight down on bottom not bothering to go anywhere in a hurry, FFF tried to bring him up but we could not, after about 30min i held on tight and broke off as Shark was taking up fishing time, i have to say my setup, BG8500 with 80lbs braid and 7ft Okuma Mettaloid rod handled easy almost doubling putting pressure on the Shark, if we knew that would have forced the Tuna to the boat. That was our action for the day we managed a few nice reef dwellers for the pan, called it quits and headed back for a few    .

Whilst at the club Jason Christie weighed in Tuna of 51.7 kilo as well as 2 Couta, 22 and 24 kilos.

Forgive me Father for I have spinned... It's been three weeks since my last cob session.
