(clap) Thanks for the update... I will prob miss the end of the season as will only be back in the cape in June... :-(  but maybe I am lucky who knows....good luck and well done with the youngsters... :+ cred:  for getting them into the fish and putting time in to developing the future of fishing.

You might want to try posting on another thread, this one is pretty old and its regarding offshore tuna catches.

So, where the tuna fishermen? Who wants to take a stab at guessing the date of the first tunas of the season?? I am hoping that it happens soon though!! October comp from CBSC coming up in just over 3 weeks and just after that is the Tuna derby out of HTB

They are there, just in small numbers. A mate lost a big fish a couple of weeks ago. Backlines.

Yeah i heard all about that fish that was lost  a week or two ago. There were however quite a few commercial deck boats out and none of them managed any yellows and only a couple of longies each.

A few of the comms left today and holding thumbs that they find some fish! The Oct comp out of CBSC is coming up pretty soon and hoping there are some fish for them to catch!!

Sounds like the season kicked off today with some good catches of Longfin reported with a few yellows in-between!
