« on: October 19, 2010, 04:55:38 AM »
This from Wesley Rapson from where he is working in -
des Roches , Seychelles.
In his own words :
"I have never seen so many free swimming wahoo at once like just now!!! Must have been 20 good fish!"
i hope Wesley send some pictures soon so we can see his new surroundings and
fishing successes.

Wouldn't it be nice to find schools of decent fish like the wahoo the day when you are out on the water with a rod in hand? That would definately guarantee a couple of good fights... If Only............................. :sml:

Very good morning Sir
It would be great to hook one on my spinning rod & reel - Excelor 4000 + 20lb Power Pro braid -
Daiwa Excelor spinning rod.
I am sure we will have to chase it with Tsutsuma because the braid will disppear
from the reel.
That is if i can see the reel with all the SMOKE comming out of it  :hehe:

Desroches is a great area, with access to St Josephs and Poivre nearby. Lots of YFT, Wahoo, Doggies, Sailfish etc in the area. I am sure that Wesley, with his skills, will have an absolute ball there.

And a great morning to you too Carlos.

That does sound like a bit of a dilemma, so before you cast, remember to lube that reel with some 4-stroke. That should take care of any smoking when the power braid starts to dissapear. The next step is to slow down the dissapearing of the oh-so-valuable powerbraid, therefor i would suggest that we pop a couple of bottles of NOS onto Tsutsuma before we leave, to pursue that rebellious Wahoo at high speed. It wont know what hit it........... :hehe: :hehe:

Hi guys.................We get the Wahoo doing that right on our doorstep here in Durban, Aliwal Shoal on the right day and right current you find the Wahoo sitting on top of the water....

Earlier this year we had a great run with some giant fish, my biggest was 35kgs on spinning gear but lost one at the boat of what mustve been close to 50kgs....made my 35kilo look like a rat....

I never knew the wahoo get so big,

:hehe:
