There are much cheaper options .

STEELWORX in Struisbaai industrial area , makes fantastic carts , very well priced too .

I would suggest , you start taking part on the forum , before you try to sell your good commercially on ULTIMATE ANGLING .

Sorry, but this is all I have to offer as far as fishing is concerned, unless you would like a daily weather update.

Thank you for the rude welcome and then going straight for the jugular, but that must be how you roll.

Very sporting of you to advertise my ex-employees business, who has not had an original idea in his life other than to copy items that I have designed.

Try and insult me again when he becomes a bigger supporter of the disabled community and fishermen.

PS. My activities here have been cleared with admin in advance. Maybe I should start making sinkers again ..... just for fun.

Dear sir , here I am not on here to , target anyone .

You donít even fish ,you admitted to this above ,  so how, could you come up with designs of a fishing cart?
Or itís ex employees , or businesses or employers for that matter .
The disabled community ha ha ha .

Itís a free country and we give good advice , to whom ever seeks it , if itís getting a similar or better product out there for a better price and better service , itís my right to share it to others .

I would rather leave my personal comments to myself .  Being the kind hearted gentleman you are one , tend to wonder , about why people will target you ... if you want to get personal , and attract me , well that just no on .  7/10 the biggest gentleman that I knew , also had some strong words for you and you abrasive attitude towards clients ...

In defense of Lenny who is a long standing and respected member here, exactly where has he insulted you? On that note of clarification, please do tell us how you support the fishing and disabled community, as we don't know you from a bar of soap, please tell us about yourself?
Lenny just stated a matter of fact?! Which is that it is widely considered "good netiquette" to partake in an online community before you spam them. Also only after 3 posts of a commercial nature, without yet a formal introduction, in the fourth post you decide to communicate to us that admin has actually approved of your posts and made us aware that you are not attempting to spam us?! Until that point bra, you are just a spammer..unless you are paying to advertise, which we so far have to take you on your word on, you are still a spammer?! If you have spent anytime on open forums (paid for by advertising) you would know that it (spamming) is one of the REALLY, really frowned upon actions that new members can partake in. Its like you have burst into a room, shouting, trying to sell your products, without introducing yourself to the group of friends inside, who don't know you from a bar of soap, and you wonder why you got the cold shoulder..If you came in quietly and first introduced yourself and went on to explained how you were assisting to pay the clubhouse rent with your advertising, you would find a different reception. Now I have never claimed to understand the finer details of social dynamics, I don't actually which is why I go fish rather than spend my time socialising, and neither am I a pro marketer, but that ja, is the basics making friends and selling your stuff in peace.

Anyway, then you make a silly attempt at trying to insult Lenny?! As if making sinkers is an insult to a fisherman hahahaha! Its like telling a 4x4 enthusiast that you are better than him cause you don't wash your car anymore...Ja get a thicker skin or hire a hot PR girl if you want to survive the world wild web. It is a free market economy and freedom of speech is only at the discretion of the site admins and one is free to otherwise share ones opinion. ;) In the old days when more people were on forums, you'd invite a flamewar LOL.

Oh dear me, Lenny you knew exactly what you were doing and you did it to get under my skin. Anyway I should have been more thick skinned, but nowadays I don't mince words anymore or beat around the bush.

The rest of your reply I can't make out, but to answer you and the other gentleman "Visenvryheid". I regularly sponsor local fishing events organnised by local Angling Club, School, Provincial & Seniors. I also sponsored the RASSPL league last year. I do a lot of free repairs for the local commercial fishing community to keep their chuckies afloat. Average charge is R50 "en 'n vissie". I imported and paid for a beach wheelchair out of my own pocket and then got the business community and municipality involved to raise funds for more chairs to be made available.

I am a member of the local Ward committee and fought tooth and nail with municipality to make the beaches more accessible to disabled and elderly / infirm community. All of this helped in the end because Struisbaai got Blue Flag Status with some of the improvements they made.

I collected and repaired 2 beach wheelchairs from Hermanus Municipality, free of charge. I own a collection of crutches, walkers and wheelchairs, should anybody need one in an instant.

I am the public spokesperson and protector of Parrie the Stingray, the closest thing Struisbaai has to a tourist attraction. I have repaired, modified and built many disabled aids, medical devices and prosthesis. I am also a supporter of House Wallace Anderson for the last number of years

But I don't need to tell everyone this, you asked.

I didn't storm onto the Forum trying to sell anything. I made a simple post telling you that the product is once again available in South Africa as the previous importer went belly up. No prices, no sales pitch, just telling you the product is available.

And yes I have permission ......

Good evening,

Just wanted to find out what your policy is with commercial  post on Ultimate Angling?

We recently became the distributors for WheelEEZ beach  Wheels and mobility products and would like to offer our products and services  to your members.
____________________________________________________________________________
Do you want to know why forums are dying, it is because of the callous behaviour of members that drive well meaning sponsors and corporate members away.

Same can also be said of some of the angling events / leagues that just USE sponsors and don't know how to add value.

Anyway I need a "flame war" like I need a hole in the head. If you have built or bought a superior product, show it. I will be humbled and learning something new.

The product is available, use it ; don't use it.

I have never pegged my business model to the angling community, because as a group of consumers you are to diverse and fickle to target with any sort of marketing campaign.

Well now that you have told us a bit about yourself it seems that you are quite a decent bloke too, albeit a bit sensitive..
Ja wheeleez, "as nice as they are" I wish you good luck in your business and keep up the community and charity work, its commended..But a thicker skin in dealing with the world wild web may help ;)

Don't worry either, far too few people around forums these days for any flame wars, everyone here is pretty civil. Spamming though receives a special kind of treatment so rather first establish the fact that you aren't next time..

We didn't sponsor the TOM last year simply because they did not ask. Simple as that. Also difficult to measure rewards from these events, so it is mainly done out of a sense of community.

As for RASSPL - the local league received a number of prizes, but we never even received photo's of the winners to promote our involvement. During the prize giving for the final which was held in Struisbaai I rocked up with prizes and banners to make things look pretty, they did not even bother to set up the sponsorship banner with all the sponsors logo's on it. So no, it was less than ideal.

Forums are a dying breed, but a few are flourishing. I was a founder member of MyADSL, which became MyBroadband ..... which is still going strong.

I am not stupid enough to engage a forum with commercial posts unless I have permission or have paid. I have yet to post any pricing, just informed people that previously searched for the product that it is once again available.

You will know when I start selling. There will be pictures, pricing and specifications ........ :-)

Wheeleez..You don't have to justify any of the above as you gained approval from the admins.
Someone tried to 'P' on your battery while you only informed the forum of the availability of your product.

All negative comments only lent itself to the advertising of your product.

Here's to Wishing you well with your business.  (clap)

I think everyone needs to sit back, have a beer and chill. No point in letting this stuff get out of hand. Some will use the product and other won't.Some will give positive feedback and others won't.We certainly all have different tastes and requirements. Let it settle down and GO FISH  :toppie: :toppie:

Welcome bud.

Let me know when you start production and I'll put the word out to my club mates.

On the point of forums dying, you are quite correct and there are many reasons for that. Just a word of advice on this forum particularly, don't ever call out a long standing member even though you may have a very well crafted point cos you will be jumped on like you were in the deep south by the Ku Klux Clan..

Anyways, happy days and do let us know when this goes into final production..

Perhaps time to lay this one to rest now.
