 and all the conservation efforts are going down the drain all because they have destroyed their own fishing resources. Money and greed is killing the world. China has already colonized huge parts of Africa. Soon the whole of Africa will belong to the Chinese.   :-(

Exactly.. they have their fingers in Angola too, and many of the pacific islands such as Vanuatu.. Poor countries are easily manipulated.
SA will follow in short order
Men go fishing all their lives.. not realizing it is not fish they are after

Ponta d'Ouro and Malongane used to have some of the best Pelagic Scuba dive spots around... go to Manta Alley now or Wayne's World or Bass City, there are no more fish; hundreds of massive 6m long Manta Rays and goen Potato Bass, gone forever.

What is wrong with humanity????  :unhap

Now is not a good time to go fishing... said nobody... EVER!!

Does the government not realise that fishing is on of the most popular sport in South Africa.  Fishings contribution to GDP is greater than Rugy and Soccer or was it Cricket and Soccer combined.  In any case, its a large chunk that goes towards GDP.

If you think long term, what happens after 3 years?  Will the stocks at the Vaal dam be targeted?

Perhaps its time to consider Auz or countries with Similar conditions our coastlines....
