that 18ft is going to have a long waiting list. Might put my name up for one aswell!

They are certainly taking their time with the new 18ft.... when I went there to pick up my zukes 3 years ago, they were already working on it.... It won't take much longer I guess.... it will be a winner for sure!!!!

The 18ft I think was put on the hold for a while until they finished doing the 22ft. From what I understand the final plan is to have the 16ft, 18ft & 22ft...the idea is to iron out the few negatives that the current boats have, mainly being the Gunnel height and width and a couple things in the build progress. The newer boats also wont have any wood in them and will have composite components for transoms etc bringing the already light weight down a bit more.

Nope, but did see a lot of boats this weekend, i think i will go for a 19 ft cc.
I will go and visit them on tuesday, i am also considering a Tomcatt.

Anyone have a 19ft cc Tomcat that can share their experience?

Hi Frikster i have a 19ft Tom i am very happy with mine, ride is very good. In terms of boats generally the longer the boat the better it rides in a choppy sea. Just to add i have never been in a situation where i don't launch due to weather or sea conditions and the 21ft boats launch regardless of make. With that being said the guys on the 21ft boats would in most circumstances have a more comfortable ride, the same applies for 17ft vs 19ft.

Well for me I would go the seacat route.

I am not a patient man.

The seacat is a beautiful and functional boat. Is the yield so much better?

Having fished on a 21 floor yield and a smaller seacat. I believe the difference is in style more than in function.

The Seacat with those 100s on will be an awesome Combo.

You can always trade up if you want to.

Yes I think the yield would be my first choice but waiting a year and paying more. No I will go with the Seacat and enjoy!

Frikster,

Ek het die 565 Seacat met die nuwe 100 Yammies (wel forward console), en glo my, jy sal definitief nie spyt wees nie.

Awsome boat met great motors..........

Perhaps I am just too impatient....but how can anybody wait 12 months for a boat..........? it would kill me http://www.ultimateangling.co.za/Smileys/goodsmiles/5wink.gif

Any news?

What did you decide.

frikster · « **Reply #52 on:** July 28, 2018, 12:33:56 PM »

Took a 565 Cc, its going into the mold next week, should be taking delivery in 5 weeks or so!
That combined with the new F100 fourstroke yammies!

Mal Hannes · « **Reply #53 on:** July 28, 2018, 01:15:57 PM »

Hammer do you tow the 565 from here and where do u fish mostly.

Hammer · « **Reply #56 on:** August 08, 2018, 09:17:24 AM »

Howzit, yip I tow it.
I fish mostly Durban and Moz. It is a very easy boat to tow, I have a single axel trailer.

frikster · « **Reply #57 on:** August 24, 2018, 09:21:54 PM »

Boat is going along nicely, should be finished at the builder next week and then the motors gonna get fitted, then stainless work and so forth, i think i will only have it in 3-4 weeks time, made lots of requests and that was all accommodated, so its just to wait now!

Mal Hannes · « **Reply #58 on:** August 27, 2018, 01:29:21 PM »

Made some serious judgement errors today.

1.) I asked Frikster to send me some photos of his build
2.) I by accident drove past Waterworld ( that was a waste of time)
3.) Then the bakkie just drove itself to Linex Yamaha.......They only had one deepsea boat there .........A Sea cat 565 FC with two 70s yammies.

mmmmmmmmmhhhhhhhhh nou jeuk my gat lekker.

That was the first Seacat i actually climbed on and felt and experienced.

I have to just get my head around the minimalist lay out of the deck.

There is many options , so i suggest speaking to Ryan durban Yamaha !
