About to splash some cash on a 9ft Assassin Amia Zero for Australian salmon & tailor (shad) fishing. Can anyone share an opinion?

I can't comment on the Zero but I have the Shore Game Heavy which I find amazing. I prefer the 11ft for spinning and this set up is light enough to throw lures for hours.
Education is important but fishing is importanter !

Brilliant rod bud. For the fish that you are targeting its more than enough.

I sort of "demo'd" the 12ft version at a tackle shop recently. My guy at the shop held the tip and asked me to pull on the rod as hard as I could. In fact he asked me to try and break the rod. Lets just say, I put my back into it but rod just smiled back at the me and asked for more.

With the fish that you are targeting, you wouldn't ever have to apply that amount of pulling force.

Hope this helps..

Thanks guys, it won't see many fish over the 4kg mark, but may see some kob action if I head north for a holiday
