evinrude E-tec motors
« on: March 14, 2018, 10:21:27 am »
For all the evinrude owners
Did have some serious problems on my 115 etecs
Been send from one BRP workshop to another in KZN
Got fed up and tow boat to Pretoria to resolve issues myself and in the proses met John Ross.
What a surprise. he knew an evinrude outboard
Keep his number in hand for problems
0836008415 (in old WITBANK )
Greetings

Hi Bassbug

the etecs were 2009 models and al of a sudden both motors lack a power surge when launching or beaching with a full crew of 8.also had a light on rev/ tacho counters to indicate fuel flow restriction occurs
every body wants to replace injectors, new fuelpump and fuel flow separator. talking of reign of 40k
in the end both actuators had a short and were replace and the reboot on computer was done and motors were just like new.
total cost were 9k
Also told me not too nurse the etecs but to run then like if I stole them. they like to work hard and that will prolong there lifetime
Once again I do love my etects
greetings
