Captains/Guides for Ocean Active in Oman and Dubai

Hi Guys,


We are looking for  new captains/guides for our operations in Oman. This season we will be running boats in Musandam Northern Oman and Muscat Oman. We will mainly be targeting Geets, Yellowfin, Sails, Kingfish, Marlin and whatever else we can find!


We are looking for guys that have a decent of amount of experience popping, fly fishing, offshore and have good hours skippering boats. They will need to have a skippers license, able to tow boats, have some engine knowledge and able to deal with clients.

Seems like a rather high turnover of guides at OA considering the wonderful places you chaps fish!!

The Gulf is a great place to start your guiding career and it is where many young guys get their feet on the rung. It is a good spot to learn, nice conditions, mostly easy fishing, decent boats and relatively well supported with a good infrastructure.
But after a couple of years, you want to move on - different species, different locations, more challenges etc.

Hi HooknCook, We replacing one of the captains that has been with us for 6 years, generally I normally want guides to be with us for about 3 years. Plus we getting 2 new boats for chasing Tuna off Muscat so lots of opportunity. We have had our guides go on to work in USA, Australia, PNG, Sri Lanka, Seychelles. Most clients are international so good exposure.
