swivel grommets
« on: October 09, 2010, 02:31:33 AM »
Hard on the heels of the ringed grommets, I have just released the following swivel grommet made especially for spin fishermen.  Obviously targeting jiggers and popper fishermen.

The ball bearinged swivel is high quality stainless steel and this #5 swivel is rated the strongest in its size at 335lb!  The grommet material is also stainless steel for uncompromised strenght.
Needless to say, this system is very strong, very compact and is almost the silver bullet for spin fishermen.

These are used by spin fishermen to prevent line twist from both reel and jig/popper.  The leader is tied around the grommet while the assist hook is looped to the smaller ring for greater movement.  The jig is connected via a split ring to the swivel's eye.

All enquiries to Jig Star Africa.

sorry for the spam guys but I thought this is a new ground breaking product that would be of great interest to all.

The Jigstar 250 rod is the lightest in Chris's range of Jigstar Jigging Rods. A fantastic rod when paired with a reel like the Jigging master PE4. Light but very powerful. Chris Roy and the gang were hauling in Yellowtail over 30kg in New Zealand in March on this gear. Like all the Jigstars it is colour coded - red for a 250 - to distinguish it from the 350 and 450.

Thanks - I was wondering where the K20 came in ?

Do you feel these rods are capable of catching 40kg GT and 50kg Dogtooth Tuna ?

No they are not designed for this - Best to use a JSR350 matched with an Alutecnos 12C or a Jigging Master PE5 or PE6

yeah I agree about endless applications but for now we have just the one size.   How much smaller would you like to see and how would you use it?

No but I would love to have a 20Kg GT on that rod  :hehe:

They are the light edition, used for smaller and medium fish, this way you can still have a hell of a battle even in a area that is not infested with big mommas.

Whole lot of fun  :happ:
