Hold thumbs, looks like it's losing steam. Winds have dropped considerably. Hopefully we will only get the benefits of the rain and little in the way of destruction.
Forgive me Father for I have spinned... It's been three weeks since my last cob session.

The eye of the storm passed about 70km north of Louis Trichardt a few hours ago and so far, it's been comparatively gentle. There is a reasonably strong wind but I have only measured 26mm of rain so far. We could get more today though.

We got some consistent rain through then night but nothing calamitous... settling down now.

The weekend looks very fishable

Quite far away though, and moving very slowly.
Currently sitting about 500km east of the northern tip of Madagascar and slowly moving south. Will keep on watching this system.

Enawo has intensified and now considered a cat 4 hurricane... Gusting at up to 280km/h. Maddys is going to get quite a beating as it will track all the way down the eastern length of the island. It's unlikely to affect us at all as it will probably dissipate as it moves east again off the southern tip of the island.
