Tackle shop closing down
« on: August 25, 2016, 12:00:20 PM »
Heard from a mate at work that Little Falls General Dealer on Ondekkers Rd (at the Silverpine intersection) near Krugersdorp is busy closing down and that they have some really good prices. Don't be confused by the name. This is a great fishing tackle shop. (bought my Sustain from them). Will try and get there on the weekend to have a look

Reason for closing down? or is it a sign of the times.
Having been to the tackle trades show 2 weeks ago and chatting to some of the suppliers / importers , the feedback I received was that the market is dead!
This is probably due to a number of factors ... Rand exchange rate , poor economy etc.

The guy that used to go every weekend fishing now only goes once or twice a month. This in turn means he now spends less money buying hooks , sinkers , bait etc.
With money being tight for many people , buying tackle also poses a challenge.
Retailers now face a low turnover and obviously hold back on placing orders with the suppliers / importers ....

Just my 2c
