Berkley Black Velvet braid review?

Shewwww guys its been a while since i've been on this site or fishing.

Has any body used Berkley Black Velvet braid yet, what do you guys think of it?
I was going for the usual suspects that ive had no issues with in the past, but ya im itching to try something new

Need it for my new setup :happ:

Strange that there are very few Internet reviews on the line... even though it was launched in 2014 and won some awards at Angling shows. Seems to be good stuff though, just about anything Berkley puts their name to is good?  :dunno:
Never used it myself, 'cos I'm very happy with my Sufix Pro x8 and 832.

Got myself a spool of the 30lbs yesterday. Considerably thinner than fireline, although braid breakng strain variations makes comparing apples with apples difficult. Knots nicely, feels great.

Awesome thanks gents for the info,i will give it a bash.

Reefs i agree, 832 is my go to braid, can literally winch fish with it having confidence that its a little thicker regular 50lb braids, but also tthat it breaks at a much higher strain.
