On my last trip to Southbroom I had just removed the stitches from an elbow operation so was not fishing. sitting at the pool I saw two ''grannies '' arrive with 4 kids and two ancient shad outfits Penn 500 etc. The two young boys were spectacularly unsuccessful trying to catch tiny fish while almost poking everyone's eyes out

, an older girl was upset at not having a turn

.
I fortunately stay two houses up in a family home , so was able to fetch and make up a rig wrapped around a 500ml coke bottle ie 10/15 m line, sparkplug, 2 tiny hooks attached above the sinker with the double knot and cut one end of the loop method.
This I gave to the lass after reassuring the grannies , she had the touch and luck , soon a much younger girl was showing the grannies fish in a bucket.
Not long, and a request to make two more rigs was accommodated and I had so much fun watching, My request to release the fish was initially not met, but the idea of putting them into the pool to await a high tide worked. and they came back for a few days to visit ''their'' fish.
Hopefully one day they will be on UA releasing fish.
Watching kids fish can be so much fun.
