going on a full family trip to Ponta for the Racetech/GoFish jetski comp in Feb. If anyone has any baitfish marks for Malongane I would be most grateful.

Thanks WK, my boys are fishing the comp and I will be thrashing the shoreline with lures while the ladies chill on the beach.

It certainly won't be for lack of trying ! Been to the comp with the boys three years running and still haven't caught a thing off the side up there. I had a Abu Toby knocked out of the water once and that's it.

Not to sure if there are any bait marks off Malongane. All the times I have fished there the boats get bait off Doodles. This is almost in front of ponta, maybe a little north of the launch site. Always lots of boats there early mornings getting bait. Think that will be your best bet

Thanks Griff, we have Doodles marks but the boys are launching at Malongane though we are staying at da Ouro. The ladies are hoping they don't have a repeat of last year with a hippo curtailing the swimming in the bay for two days.

Good luck with surf fishing in Malongane Plugger. You're gonna need it. The locals have plundered the bay at D'ouro and Malongane so badly with nets, doubt there is even a nursery there anymore...  :-(
Have fished there several times and blanked spectacularly every time! Best R/S fishing is North of Malongane at a place called Frederico's... only place worth wetting a line IMHO. Or, you can go South of the point at d'Ouro. Round the corner towards the border the fishing improves dramatically.

Thanks Reefs, I have been round the corner (South) and it looked awesome but all I got was sweat.will definitely try it again this trip. Thinking of maybe making a day trip to Milli I believe it's about 2 hours drive.
