Watching Tony roll around in the shore dump with that diamond I was very happy to provide moral support for the day :hehe:

Lekker report... thanks for sharing WK.
Forgive me Father for I have spinned... It's been three weeks since my last cob session.

:crzy
I was trying hard boet... that Diamond smacked us 6-0. Almost as bad as that green Blackfin we tried to land at Mapies a few years back...
While I was 'bodysurfing' with that Diamond, I felt it's barb brush lightly against my thigh...  :shk subsequently nearly pulled a fat trying to get out the way.
That Ray was on Steroids... luckily Doc was also around.

Bru you don't understand the half of it  :hyst: :hyst: :hyst: Walked about 22kms in December during a full day of fishing, but the Eastern Cape soft sand has nothing on the North coast, those 14kms nearly killed me  :hyst: :rotfl

Whose got the broken rod pics?
Other crazy things happening... I got the butt and midsection of my rod vacuumed tight together. An hour of pushing, pulling, twisting amongst 6 BIG boys.... eventually it came loose like a champagne cork. Remind me never to spray oil on the fitting rod sections!!  Some serious blisters gained from that escapade

Next time put some ice on the join or hang it in front of the AC happens with GT rods all the time

We tried ice... didn't work. Aircon at Maphelane....  :rotfl whassat?!
The only thing that worked, out of desperation, was manhandling the rod from side to side. I'll be shocked if the rod doesn't break in the near future.

So I broke my Poseidon Ultra light on a cast, right at the spigot.
Got some 50 lb Sufix 832 braid, wrapped in a special way with the tag end pulled under, coated with Pratley's Quickset and fished with it the next day!!  :corrct:

A little lumpy, but it works! w;k

I'm sure FISHATIC will be very proud of me....  :rotfl

:Like: ... probably stronger than the original design , dunno why they dont do it to the rods anyway when they make them .
