Introducing BA Tackle
« on: February 12, 2015, 08:49:31 AM »
Hi Chaps.

I’m taking this chance to introduce myself / BA Tackle to you all.  Most of you know me from my charter operation in Richards Bay.  Backline Adventures (www.backlineadventures.co.za).  I have in the last two years include BA Tackle to the business specialising in marlin and big game terminal tackle to the local market.  This has expanded to such that I’m exporting now a lot of my tackle throughout the world.

I like to participate on UA not just as n Tackle provider but you are all welcome should you require any advice, information or assistance.   I’m based between Vanderbijlpark in Gauteng and Richard Bay KZN.    On the fishing side of things, I only fish marlin for the last couple of years due to client requirements but like all marlin anglers started off with game fishing.  I own a F200 that’s based in Richard Bay.   She is close to the triple figure on billfish and took the gold on several competitions.

So when you see the boat please come and have a cold one with me.  I’m looking forward to a long-term relationship with UA and all its members.

If there’s anything I can assist please do not hesitate to contact me.

I think that is appropriate to mention when one receives excellent service.

I recently contacted Sarel form BA Tackle and asked for some advice as to fishing conditions, possible lure spreads and general fishing information off Richards Bay. I wanted him to recommend a great spread for me to use for general game fishing of Richards Bay. He was such a great help, asking me about the size of my boat, the tackle I use as well as line class and came up with an awesome spread. When I collected them, we shared many a good fishing storey and he was very enthusiastic to part with much of his hard learnt experience . For me it was not only service excellence, but service with a smile and such a pleasure to gleam “pearls of wisdom” from such an experienced sea Captain. I have already thought of another bunch of questions that I want to ask him  - hehe
Sarel, I wish you all the best and really guys, if there is any tackle you need to have or any questions you need to ask, please don’t hesitate to contact Sarel at BA tackle.

This is the spread that I got and cant wait to put it to the test.
