Young GT kingfish on one of my favorite lures, the 30 g CID slimbait.

What a brutal fight on light tackle this was, but I got him out! 90 cm forklength GT (converts to 14.25 kg) on a 4.5" McArthy kob slinky paddletail in olive colour rigged onto a 1 oz wobble jig in weedless presentation. Fish swam off strongly upon release.

Tackle used: Majorcraft N-one 10.6 ft (30 - 60 g) slow jigging rod, Daiwa Certate 5000-H SW reel spooled with 10 lb 8-weave Daiwa J-braid.

My fishing life has been very quiet due to work! But the odd great bite kept me happy! Both these bites were on the 30 g CID slimbait.
