Heaviest Heron to date.....
« on: December 22, 2014, 01:47:36 PM »
Guys this was my last build for 2014.
I am very glad to report that it did arrive safely in the U.K.

Quick Specs:

Orvis Superfine Touch Blank in 8' 4wt
Fuji BMNAG Stripper
Lite Wire Snakes in Black
Palmgrip with Anodized Black Sliding Ring and Recessed Hood
Blue Steel Nylon from Prowrap or something in that line
Rod Tube with my Signature Series endcaps and engraved detail

Some snaps of the rod....

Very very very nice Koos! What did you use to cover the eye bindings with? It looks like theres no epoxy?

Rory I did this as per my Heron Spec which is two thin coats of finish over the wraps and then afterwards the whole rod gets treated with a matte clear coat to reduce rod flash.
