Fishing with the Family in Dubai
« on: April 25, 2014, 12:34:57 PM »
Thought I would post something a bit different. Not the big GTs but all still caught on surface lures. Mainly on small chisels.

The last few months have been hectic with fishing and starting the new boat brokerage. But not all work and we have been running in the new 3 x 300 V6 Yamahas on the Contender. My Mum was out for a visit to see the grandkids and being an avid fisherwoman was keen to get out on the Contender for a ride and maybe do some fishing.

So with 3 generations on the boat Mum, myself and Zack, we cleaned the boat, loaded a few rods and towed the boat down to the marina. The boat is truly the most amazing thing I have ever had the prove ledge to skipper. Shear power and stability!

We headed out the marina and made sure all the systems were working and then made a very quick run from Jebel Ali to Palm Jumeirah. We topped out at 58.8knots!! We had a side on sea and still Zack fell asleep on one of the seats!! Not sure I will ever look at other boats the same!

We found some queens near Palm Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab and had some great fun with Mum catching a few along with Zack and myself. After a few great hours and fun catching queens on light tackle we headed back to the marina to finish off a great morning.

Our new baby!

Plenty deck space

It blows my mind how good the fishing can be around some of the worlds big cities, New York, Dubai etc.
That boat is soooo sweet, but I am glad i dont have the fuel bill for thaty thing. luckily you are based where oil is cheaper than water.

Many thanks guys, boat is awesome and luckily fuel is cheap this side tkei! Truly amazing what good light tackle fishing there is right in the middle of Dubai and there is hardly anyone on busting fish 500m from huge marinas!

Those are beaaaauutiful pictures man, I know India has great sea and hopefully great visibility, but I love your camera angles with those fish right up in your face, great waters and sun out there it seems. I wanna go one day.
