apparently all is sorted out now...just come out on the news that ZA authorities revoked that legislation
it was only in place for 2 days and caused too many troubles

There's a safety aspect that is probably being overlooked.... if every person crossing the border needs to carry R3000 in cash, then a typical family of 5 should carry R15,000. Don't know how many cars cross that border per day, but let's say 1000, that's R1.5 million in cash .... pretty sure that road will see a lot of action

. Although, I suspect, this is already happening...

I for one, carry the least amount of cash when traveling to SA... just enough for the toll gates....

Hello boet, good to see you're still around

. OK, I'll confirm with Manico camp for 12 people so far from Wednesday 8th October, leaving there Monday morning 13th October. So that's 5 nights. There's no way I'm traveling on the Sunday with the roads, traffic and border.
Are you guys good with those arrangements? I'll check with Hester when they want the deposits by and let you guys know.

So far it's Pete, Mike, myself plus 3 crew each for the duration, then Peterblace and John F will join us for the weekend with their 2 boats.

Oh and by the way, it's not hard work, we need to thank Pedro for arranging our boat permits etc, that's hard work.

There's no hope for you bud. A posted the list of docs we need a few pages back.
We need copies of
each persons passport,
copy of boat's seaworthy certificate
Copy of current COF
Copy of your skipper's ticket

You can scan them and email them to me and I'll forward the whole groups to Pedro
