CAVE ROCK, BLUFF, DURBAN
« on: November 26, 2013, 10:30:58 AM »

Hi Gents,

I trust you are all well?

Please can someone advise me about this location.

Has anyone been here for fishing? Is fishing allowed? Is it a relatively safe area?

Many thanks

not sure about the fishing there, but one of the best surf spots in KZN!!

Lots of scattered reefs, so you should find a few reef speicies around the area!

Cave rock is a very safe place to fish, it does not produce much in terms of game fish. However if you are content with Shad, brusher, black tail and the odd rock cod. Then Cave rock is ideal for you. There is a lovely tidal pool to the right of cave rock for the kids to swim in whilst you are hard at work trying to catch that elusive fish.

I live on the bluff and have surfed cave rock many times. There is also 2 resturants very close to cave rock, green dolpin is located at Ansteys and Lords and Legends at Brighton beach.
