Awesome fish, Grunters are awesome fighters and release quite easily....makes you wonder what they keep in reserve! Tough buggers. Awesome photo, nice catch, well done.

Ziggy are you fishing day time only? I've been told that the waterwing are no longer harrassing the guys fishing at night and that guys without DOC are manageing to get some nightime fishing in.

npt that great - only 2 grunters at 40cm - nothing else, not even a touch fished from 3.30 to 8

Been fishing days and nights - seen the waterwing around. A buddy was blocked by them last week at night...so I would say that what you have been told is not true

weather has been bad - and again for a whole week


going to try and go on thursday night - wind looks fine but with some rain and drizzle.....I will see how hard it is raining and if not too bad - I will go and see whats happening on the banks

We caught 10 different species in the harbour today:
  • kingie,
  • concertina fish,
  • pursemouth
  • mullet,
  • threadfin mirror fish
  • grunter,
  • mackerel,
  • sand gurnard,
  • sole,
  • stumpy
