I casted my backside off for Kob at kasouga this December and only managed one (A silver on bait of about 1kg)

Welcome back to UA Kent! Fishing has been rather slow around here too. One or two Kob around but not easy. Saturday produced a couple decent fish! When you planning your next Rooiwalle mission? Was there on saturday and that bank is looking VERY nice!

Mornings Folks , well as we coming off a bright moon spring AND although the sea looks flattish , please always be very aware on a spring tide movement. Its that change from low to high that can be the bugger. At times and at certain spots the water gets a rush...[/size]That being said tomorrow you have a high at 05h03 and on Sunday at 05h41...NOW...those that like an early AM session will be hard pressed to make a little trippie out to the Cefane and Cintsa beach areas as these areas fish quite well on a high outgoing...[/font]
The only thing that could just be a jinx is that high pressure hanging off our west coast and when that ridges in the wind will turn beastly eastly...an early AM start will see you with near windless conditions on both days of this weekend and by early I mean at least 04h00 to 0800 you should have beaut conditions albeit with some rain....as those coastal lows come in off a weak inland system...
As to the water there is an inshore swell running in a westly direction around the 4 to 6 foot mark and the temp is a tad chilly at 16 ...water colour is not bad and spearo viz is probably down to 5m...
Remember the spots I mentioned and with these water conditions a piggy is NOT out of the question...the area between Rainbows and Kwelerga Village is also a top spot with this tide.....
The rivers have producing some nice kob and those fisherman enjoying time on the Jikeleza rivers , please show some restraint when the kob are thick and biting freely...

Well...I have just gone through this whole thread as a "refresher"..hehee and WOW...I forgot there have actually been some really nice catches in the past few years....Sooo...its ALL systems go again and tomorrow is ON!!!

Mornings Folks , well a kwik midweek peak and if that synoptic stays true and those two weather systems namely that high ridging in behind that front continues along its present path at the same speed we in for a cracker of a Saturday for fishing....we have an early AM low tide and will be coming off a west wind with a steadly rising barometer as that high ridges in....that coastal low forming looks pretty weak and shoulder hamper things too much...water temp is sitting at around the 18 mark and will warme up a few notches as that west puffs on Friday....the water is a tad grubby BUT will clean up with that west.....

Mornings Folks ...well we actually have pretty good looking conditions looming for tomorrow AM and then that beastly eastly will come through stiff as that large high starts risging in....Sunday the east will pump through and that will pretty much put a spanner in the works....[/size]BUT...[/font]
[/color][/size]From early AM tomorrow through to around midday you will have good conditions ...a rising baro and it will peak out at 1022hpk and that wind will be ever so light west in the morning WITH a low tide at 03h35 and we are on a nip tide with a inshore swell of around 4 to 5 foot running...water colour is cleanish with the odd grubby spot here and there and temp is sitting around the 18 mark[/font]
Sooo...for most species along our Jikeleza these are fairly spot on conditions....
Sunday will be a blow out I am afraid and that east , Im sure will start puffing from early Sunday AM with the change over of tides and a low at 05h28..
Now , with these early AM lows most spots along the Jikleleza fish well especially with an early AM start for those early rises...
Bulugha point and Cintsa point in light wind are always two very good options as is GlenGariff.....the area infront of the Yellowsands caravan park is also worth a look...
Another good area for tomorrow would be the whole Haga area as well as Double Mouth..
In my humble opinion , tomorrow is going to be the window of opportunity...
This being said , no line in the water equals no chance of a hook up...
Please pick up the litter and be aware of your immediate surroundings when out n about this weekends fishing...

Mornings East Coasters...well we moving into FULL dark moon spring this weekend and off the bat i need to say lets be WIDE AWAKE out there at the waters edge this weekend Folks....there is a shore line swell of at least 6f running and outside sets will be over the 8f mark...[/size]We can expect a surge on that change of the tide from low to high and watch that rush of water as the tides go out....[/font]
[/color][/size]Tomorrow you have a high at 04h15 and on Sunday at 04h45..[/font]
With these outgoing early AM tides most spots along our Jikeleza will be fishable and the wind will be a stiff south wester tomorow for most part of the day reaching 56 odd kph...
Glen Gariff....Kwelerga...Queensberry and Haga Pullins area offer lots of shelter from a stiff west...
The baro has bottomed out at 998hpk and during the course of tomorrow will be on the rise...
In my humble opinion the window of opportunity will be Sunday AM as that west peters out to a calm 5 to 10kph...the baro should get to around 1020hpk as that high ridges in....most spots anlong the Jikeleza will be spot on in these conditions , just hope that there is not too much of a large swell left over and no surging...
The water at the moment still looks cleanish BUT this beastly eastly today might cool things down quite a bit and turn a few spots grubby....water temp is around the 17 mark and as i said might drop off....
Remember , IF that swell is not too much on Sunday AM dont forget those stretches between Cefane and Cintsa on that outgoing tide....
