visteroris I hear what you say ,but I promise you that we still bottomfish from st.lucia  and i say again there is no law that say that we are not aloowed to bottomfish in the area as previous discussed.I know Pottie and if you ask him all the chaterboats had to tender for a concession that allows them to continou and also pay roylties back to kZn so he left.Also they as the charterboat operators had to sign a declaration that they and only they will catch no more bottomfish.Hope that this info is suffiicient.

From what I hear from a friend, recreational boats can still fish bottoms in St Lucia

Hi guys
Some good snoek coming out by the Robino and the odd couta. I am told some good couta off the reefs off Mapelane but I dont have the reef co ords. Can you please also forward me the waypoints that you have to phumba72@mweb.co.za. Am off to Richard Bays bay next week so will let you know whats biting. :

Going to Mapelane in 2 weeks. Could someone please send me some marks. I went once 4 years ago in summer and managed to get a few dorries but was fishing very blind. chaps I have lots of way points in hard copy and Garmin format, I will email them to you
when I die, may my wife not sell my fishing tackle for what I told her I paid for it... and I have bought more, a severe case of TA
