Mike , depending where you located in PTA , you would have to get on to the R511, basically going to Hartebeespoort dam and then proceeding onto Britz , my directions off Google maps is from my side of the boerewors curtain  :hyst:  , unless you try and meet up with Clive on the road somewhere central to both of you and then can follow Clive . :dunno:

take the 511 through Brits its 20-25kms past Brits on the lhs, enjoy guys

Kurper are mainly targeted in the warmer months and is going to be tough to catch this time of the year, I suggest you make a feeding spot first thing in the morning and then go look for bass, when it heats up a little later try and target kurper on the feeding spot.

Good luck and enjoy... (OBS will come in handy early morning)

:crzy just ask in the fishing shop, it's a residue from one of the brewing processes, mix it in a bucket with some of the mielie bomb mutti and drop it in the dam, come back and fish the spot a few hours later

Best bet I guess would be to drop near a lot of water liliies, which is were the kurper will be hiding

It is a cooler water temperature , so you need either  'noisy' agravaiting baits,  or quiet top water baits such as  'horney toads" and similar,  top water toads and other frog type lures, normally produce. Pitch them onto the water lily's wait a bit and just pull them off the lily pads but not to quickly.
Bass are an ambush predator so always looking for an oportune snack.

tight lines and a safe trip guys

Mike, Gary is taking some Berkley soft lures but I will just mess around with worms. Will check tomorrow morning what worms around here and let you know. There are many cans of worms in I-Pitoli.

Remember fuel!

Will bring some braai goodies.
