I don't know if anyone else has this "itus" but I have organizeitus duh I think I have spent a decent rod and reel on my tackle storage! From individual stackable containers for all my sinkers to trying to find some way to store all my traces from 16/0 circle hook traces to #7 bronze bream scratching traces. My name is Half-Pint and I have a problem :blush:

John F here... my last purchase was some weeks ago! Got a couple of nice ilanders (Thanks Shag).

Now, I'm just about to pull the plug and go absolutely bankrupt! And guess what: Prego (yes, you Prego!) is helping me go down!!!!

I'm sure this will be my LAST EVER tackle acquisition....  :nuts:

My confession - this year (I am not going to talk about last year or the year before!) I spent on:
  • 10 days each  in Ireland, Zambezi, Drakensberg
  • 5 weekend  trips to Drakensberg
  • 6 weekend  trips to South Coast
  • Hardy rod  and reel, catch net
  • Fly vise,  tools (materials being bought on line as we speak)
  • Wading boots
  • Numerous,  numerous trips to Basil Manning






As a result of this thread (and to begin to chart a route to being cured) I have decided to sell my boat, clean up my storeroom and sell excess tackle (that is going to be heartbreaking), not visit a tackle shop while in the USA over Xmas........

Selling your boat is not the answer, I did that and lasted 3 weeks before I bought a replacement and I do miss the old boat.

I agree - the past week I have been searching for a 3m boat with 15hp for durban harbour to replace....this addiction never ends!!!


I still have a kickboat and a big canoe (had an extra pair of paddles made before I went to the zambezi)!

 I once got caught at the airport for excess baggage, flying to Zambia to tigerfish....in my suitcase was 23kgs of tackle, a pair of undies.
