 (clap) Great report!
That place where you stayed looks awesome and the water perfect for fishing. Too bad the weather did not play along but that is life.

Interesting observations made.... All 14 day weather forecasts were completely and absolutely WRONG... that includes Winguru, Windfinder, Magic seaweed, yr.no, etc etc. These predictions got our hopes up for an epic fishing trip... unfortunately, they were all completely OUT!  :-(

Even closer to the time, the predictions were very innacurate. Only became more accurate when predicted the day before. Windfinder was the most accurate. Interestingly, the predicted weather for Richards Bay was the exact opposite of the predicted weather for Maputo. Maputo's weather predictions on Windfinder were spot on. So it seems that North of Richards Bay, the weather systems change quite dramatically and take on the form of weather patterns further North. Sodwana, Kosi all take their weather from Maputo systems.

That South wind that blew the first 5 days of our trip really was a poison wind...

A bad day fishing is still better than being at the office. At least your lines were in the water and it sounds like you had a few good runs which could easily have worked out differently.

Paradise! Reefz do you see the antenna sticking out in one of the pics, thats the place I was talking about.

Seems we must stick to Dec - Feb as that time has the most predictable weather patterns.

Good job Gareth, thank you for the report, and guys for the pics.

No chance of that! Solunar charts for BBash are as good as they get... Spring highs with moon activity at the right times... this is going to be a good one.

REEEEEEFZ! Why! Why do you tempt them into proving you wrong! The weather gods watch these forums and the levels of excitement are directly proportional to the amounts of rain and wind.

I live in hope though!
