Lures /Poppers for Barracuda, Kingfish

Hi Guys
Can anybody tell me what type of poppers / lures are being used to catch Barracuda, Kingfish,Tuna ect...
If anyone can upload some pics, will appreciate it!
I'm fishing in Gabon and Angola.

How to work a popper lure for Giant Trevally!!

Rod butt under your left arm, point the rod at the lure and use a side swipe action to make the popper 'bloop' and splash.

I found with the newer Halco triangular cup faces, the swipe to the side works better if you angle it upwards slightly (ending just above horizontal), rather than downwards.

Personally I pop out of my bucket initially and when the lure gets closer to the boat I'll drop the rod tuck the but section under my arm and sweep sideways  this is to stop the lure tumbling as it get close to the boat. Also if you have more than one person popping from the boat it can get frustrating when everyone is trying to sweep side ways as you end up sword fighting.

Do you mean jack when you talk about kingfish ? if its jacks good old white nylon plugs work great Halco popper in the gold ,gillies poppers, big storm chugbugs in black/gold/chartreuse colours. Barracuda love Rapala shadraps - the big shallow running lip ones you need to search for them in the tackle shops as they not that popular anymore look for gold/orange /mullet colour and silver green . Halco lipped lures in any metallic colour esp gold as well .

Thanks for the advise guys. I am getting the hang of it.its only a matter of time before I entice a Kingy or Garrick onto this Halco.
I find short bursts of about half a turn of the reel handle to give the lure a good action as well.
