Carlos,I was looking for it earlier on, cannot find it. will check at my work computer, should be in my history.Anyways, by doing a simple online search I can find a lot of prado, most are over 100000km's though (nothing for a prado)
Mitsubishi Pajero, this is the business
A Prado has a tow capacity of 2,8 tons. I have thought about it but I want to take my rig to a weigh bridge first to double check. My rig "should weigh 2,6-2,7 tons, so that's border line.
Awesome reading all of this! I am starting to look for a SUV / "bakkie" (not quite the same price bracket though) and this has been an eye opener... So Bennie what have you decided?
Bennie can have a new rest en-route to me here in Maputo Mozambique.Would it be legal to tow his boat behind the "Rest Unit" -I wonder.I must contact "Our Friend the Traffic Cop" in Xai Xaiand ask him.lol}<(((*>
bennie, even after reading all the articles written in ski boat, 4 times 4 magazines etc I am still confused as hell about legal towing and what you can do to make it all legal.Your prolem is you have a bakkie that smalls like a biker chick that you like. You only want to get rid of it if you have to and at present its a BIT LIGHT in the pants ont he towing legally front. Correct.Your options are buying a jeep (which will break and cost a fortune to fix and sell for nothing next week) or a landrover, which will break and cost a fortune to fix, but will sell for a bit more than the jeep next week. Once they are sold you will go back to toyota. Correct me if I am wrong. What are the lagal;ities about fitting one of those trailer mounted brake slaves, its electronically controlled. i guess they cost a bit but at r20k, if it makes you legal its worth it, as one vist tot he garage with the landy or jeep will cost more than this. The Boffs on the towing laws, how legal do these make you??
