With the factory fitted rails your job is alot easier. Are you going to put it on permanently?

Yes Pieta, i was thinking of leaving it on. I dont really like a roof rack, but to put the rod pieces together, thread the line through the eyes and tie the trace on next to the road, is a bit of a pain. With a lockable rod rack, i can get it all ready in the evening and just drive off in the night, bait and gooi, way easier.

It will be lots easier. Just don't tie the sinker. Some guys wind the sinker around the reel handle.  They don't always stay there and can cause lots of damage to your car.

Thanks Pieta, valid point, I can imagine the damage a 6oz can do, swinging around and banging your roof.
