Nope it's not legal...

Regulations specific to recreational cast-netting
(13) The holder of a recreational fishing permit endorsed for cast-netting shall not catch, disturb, land, keep, or control:
(a) any fish not listed in the species list of Annexure 4,
(b) more fish than the bag-limit listed in respect of each species in species list of Annexure 4 during any one day;
(c) any fish smaller than, or of a mass less than, the size-limit listed in respect of each species in the species list of Annexure 4;
(14) The holder of a recreational fishing permit endorsed for cast-netting shall not fish or attempt to catch fish between sunset and sunrise.

Doesn't phase me, the most action my net has seen in a while is the swimming pool, i still struggle to throw it in the day, how am i going to throw it at night..... it might be slower, but i'll just stick to my flick stick for live bait for now

I was hoping to go to Ultimate's first bash at vidal, but things to hectic at the moment, will have to wait till December, last time i fished was end Jan in bluewater bay, i found a little lost blue ray, a sandshark and then the barbel started coming out, had a pull on a whole yellow tail i slid out, but hooks wouldn't set, was a big yellowtail just short of a kilo, think it was a flat fish just mouthing the bait

How come you have not been along the mountain yet, platbank?

Hope we not hijacking here.... sorry

I'll send you some coordinates of some spots next week along with what you can expect to catch there
My colleagues fish those spots all the time with good results
