Interesting that you picked up the anti reverse goes in both ways but fits only one way!!
I have had the reel fitted with a 'mag-it' system and can now comfortably cast full force, without any thumb control on the spool! (even at night)
I can only recommend the mag-it system for those who want hassle free casting and less monofilament wastage.
