Hi Reefman

Thanks so much for this, sorry I didnt find it,before I try to open up and clean my reel. But made just two mistakes.

First I broke the 'o ring' part no 34,when I took the bearings of,didnt look. and then I lost the pawl spring part no 25.

Where can I find those 2 parts ? order it ?
Second question, if I want to upgrade the drag washers,is it necessary and where can I get it ?
Third question, where don't you put grease inside the reel ?

1. Kingfisher in Durban are Daiwa agents.
2. Not necessary of you're targetting edibles with the reel. If you still want to upgrade, contact JaggedEdge on UA.
3. I put grease everywhere... and oil the spool bearings.
4. The Drag washers can be lightly greased with a Teflon based grease like Cal's.

Thank you so much !

Do you perhaps have a tel no or email adress for someone who I can speak to ?

Do you put grease between the dragwashers also ?

I've got a big problem. Just serviced my grandwave. Followed all the steps cleaned and regreased all the working parts but........ Everything seems to be working fine but when I reel it takes effort to turn the handle not nearly as smooth as it was. Please can someone help. I am leaving for kosi bay on Tuesday and I need to use this reel! The handle gets tighter to turn when you tighten the drag.  :-( :cnfzd

So I finally figured it out!  Sorry for bothering you guys with this issue. It amazing what can happen to your reel when you mix up 2 washers!  Reel is good as new. Thanks for a very helpful post. Attached is a pic of what helped me out. First reel serviced and it only took 6 hours!  :craz:
