Just found out that I am spending christmas in a house right at stanfords cove in De Kelders. Thanks heavans its not Hermanus this year
. Anyway does anyone know if there is decent fishing in the area? I will definitely go to Die Dam one day at least although I don't know where to go or what to fish for. Guess I will just throw and see what happens. The there is also de Plaat I think. It looks really nice on the de kelders side but does anyone know what to fish for there and when etc (I am a real noob at R&S). Has anyone fished Stanford's Cove itself and had any success there? Any other decent spots to try?
We also have a C registered 15ft boat. Is it worth taking it out at Gansbaai or will we just end up bottom fishing?
I know where to pump prawns in that little estuary other side of Gansbaai but that's about it in terms of bait collection spots that I know of.
