« on: July 06, 2010, 07:49:15 AM »
Hey guys!

What fish is this?
Looks like a wrasse, but what species?
I caught it at Scottburgh.

Cheers,
Eugene

Nah it's not a Parrot fish.

It's a SURGE WRASSE - Thalasoma purpureum

They are called Surge Wrasse because they like choppy water and wherever there is Surge and debris floating around. Live around Reef sstructures and are often caught by Shore anglers in KZN and Moz.
