I have arrived back in Nigeria after an awesome two weeks in Struisbaai.

This little Town is such an amazing place, peace and tranquility, yet a fishing mecca.
If you have not yet visited Struisbaai, make a plan.
I suppose there's a reason they hold the Nationals at Struisbaai every once in a while.
I have to firstly commend Brandon on the quality of his handy work.
This rod is truly a piece of art, and the finishing beautifully done.
Because of the oval mid-section, it gives the rod a lot of back bone.
The rod is rated at 5oz, and it did not have any problems casting a 5oz weight and bait.
I even casted 5oz plus a live mullet on one occassion (just a gentle lob).
With an 8 month old baby, we did not fish as much as we would have liked to.
My wife managed 2 lessers, a blaasopie and a barbel on the outfit.
The rod is nice and light, and together with the braid is very sensitive.
We did not get any wind knots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The rod was paired with a Shimano Sustain 6000.
I have to agree with other reviews on this reel, it is a very smooth reel.
The only problem is, I'm considering getting myself a grinder setup as well
