My new look Saltist 40.

One of those weeks again. My hands were itching again. My Saltist 40 needed some attention as it has been abused over the years on the reefs at Macasar. Reel was almost serviced after every trip so the inside was perfect. The problem was the outside. Unfortunately I did not take before pics. Stripped al the paint with different grades of sandpaper. Cleaned the surface and taped up all the areas not to be painted. Gave the reel two thin coats of colour with drying time between the two coats. Left it to dry for 24 hours. Finished the reel of with 4 coats of crystal clear paint. Re-assembled the reel tonight. Sorry for the quality of some of the pics. (Used my cellphone)

Thanks Walt. I now need to tackle my 50H but not shure what colour. As for the fishing not going as good as I would like it to be. Last 4 Gallie trips 11i fish all undersize. One more Gallie trip next weekend so lets hope it goes a bit better. Then it is time for cob.

Guys
Sailor I will have to look tonight what the make is. As far as I know it has a lot of outdoor uses. Lets hope it lasts.
