The MUTHA of all Tackleboxes!
« on: August 31, 2010, 09:18:36 PM »
I once made a Tacklebox for my good friend Daryl... this is how it went...

Note: Daryl is a strapping big oke who played Provincial rugby for Natal... it's only someone of his size that could actually make use of a monster like this!

Sheesh what a mess!

Think I used over 500 rivets for this project!

Aluminium re-inforcing everywhere

Planning the Plastic covering...

Cutting the plastic to size...

Fitting the Plastic

Then the big job started... sewing! Broke about 10 needles before I realized my wife's sewing machine wasn't really supposed to be belching smoke...

Found out later that I needed to use an Industrial sewing machine. Costly mistake... instead of a new reel, I had to now get a new sewing machine! Lol!

The trace pouches...

Trace pouches inside the front cover

Velcro sticky's for closure

Getting there...

Straps and cushioning...

Bait box holder... built in

Pragtig ne!

Attention to detail, very nice !! You built that tacklebox as if it was your own
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles

Ultimate work there Reefman, but like you said built for a rugby player!

Are you going to quit dentistry and start building boxes?
