Gariep Dam Trip: 15 - 27 December

I am looking forward to a very good fishing trip to Gariep. Was there in 2011 ad fishing was good, could have been better if I was more prepared and the wind didn't cause havoc.


I haven't received any new information about the quality of fishing lately, bait, dips etc.


2011 served some good fishing on SWD dipped in Quatro and Ebony dips, barbel picked up on big mudfish as bait and this time I am prepared for their onslaught!!

It is an amazing experience and one you would always remember, BM Yellows are plenty, catch and release after resusitation makes it even more  worth the while, big carp and barbel on light tackle isa pleasure,make sure you take plenty stroppies with, there are places that eat them up!!
