There are actually 3 Xefina islands: Xefina Grande (up river just below the big Benguele Is.), Xefina do Meio and Xefina Pequena (the one labeled in the pic).

Depends where you launch form, if you legally launch from the beach you will save in distance, if you launch in the river at the slipway, you have +/- 6nm to the mouth, but I guess if you fish toward the North yes for sure in distance.

No nothing planned but interesting place......could use it as a stopover going north as well.

My post was in ref to Inhaca trip 


We usually wing it at maputo marina for a night then head to island first light next day.


Going to do a recon (no boat, well maybe) month end to check out new bridge. Will swing past your club.

I should be around.... Leaving Congo on Friday (16th) -  Moz (17th till 21st) - Durbs (21st till 26st) - back to Moz till +/- 12th Dec, or that's the plan for now, My Mom is coming up for a visit..
