Best Would be to try Big Catch in Paarden Island . Squid seems to be a Major Problem every its getting worst and Worst , Price wise too ...
Or LAst resort give West hook a Call , they are in the N/Burbs though .

Or you could just go look for an Occie  at MAcs on low tide on aasbankies theres lots ...

I have a couple of contacts in PE anf Jefrries  , but aint driving up for a couple of blocks .

dunno honestly but for quality stuff you must be looking at 120 - 160/kg?  I don't call out tackle shops anymore but there's one in particular i'll bet good money on it's not under 130/kg!!!

I got some local stuff, it's cheap and well it landed me a west coast cobbie so works for me.

In one word TOOMUCH .
Skippers in PE anf Jefries are more and more going further for fish some trips they come al the way down to Mosselbay and stuis , because its scare price just sky rockets . You could make million with a Tjokka outfit , but most of the time not.

And being in CPt in Winter , not alot of Tjokka get sold , so all the shops are trying to move the old stuff , from last season . In Peak Summer theres not alot .

Tjokka can be frozen for long periods of time , the Tjokka I use , I  have kept frozen , used it as bait and to eat for up to a year , no problem , I did get it directly , of my MAtes boat in St Francis , so there was no freezer time on land , I sometimes wonder how long the 'fresh shipments at tackleshops ' have been lying in a Storage/ freezer somewhere.
By the look of some of the Tjokka they are OLD .
My suggestion is we all use old tjokka , so if MR Kob want Tjokka , he'll have to chow the old stuff . :hehe:

Where did you go to Big Catch ?
I would Think , Local Squid , Seafrozen . Might be wrong .
And the import , must be Falklands / similar price to West hook .

Glad you got Sorted , Cool to help others  .
