Vaal river safety
« on: February 12, 2012, 05:31:18 PM »
I've just had the boat on the river to give it a run and the amount of things that seem wrong, whenever a skier came off and they raised the red flag, I slowed down as I passed, others just kept going creating a big wake when a boat has flagged a problem <: , 4 boats that dropped a skier never even raised a red flag  <: . And as for the jet skis being all over the place it was an interesting day swr
Then there were the ' bow riders towing a skier with a compliment of 8-10 on board, surely they are not licensed for, and carry life jackets for that number of people :cnfzd
When I had my boat's COF done last year I was advised that the old SRG numbers were a thing of the past and we had to register with a SR number, ie, they have dropped the G. If thats's the case then there are a lot of  unregistered boats with SRG numbers using this stretch of river.
Time for a    not a red can though :yipee: :yipee: :yipee: :yipee: :yipee:
