well down on business and had a good week, so gave myself as boss Friday off, planned a trip with Nikao, then last minute 2 he gets a charter, so I go along as the gillie 
went out to No 1, went south to poo pipe and we had a lot of surface action, bait fish everywhere but just one small pull and that was that. 
Tried out some of Nikao's jigging kit and although nothing was bitting the M&W Jigging stuff worked well, infact I'm gonna buy a rod reel and line kit that I used, nothing biting apart from a  couple of Johnies and the kit stood up well until the eventual breakoff.
The SW came up and we ended off of Vetchies, catching plenty of Shad and Mackerel. Shad let go to fight another day, plenty Yosuris coming up without hooks, but Nikao has plenty of live bait in his well.

Has or had? Are you talking about the live bait cage in the water in front of the boat?

Cool! I'm glad you are using it. How is the growth on it? We need to spray it down every now and again... This summer it will work hard!

Not to bad but will need spraying down soon also need to make some repairs to it the hinge(cable tie) has snapped on the one side will prob take it out this weekend to sort it out..
