Storing sinkers
« on: July 10, 2010, 01:40:31 PM »
  •     I was tired of scratching through a box of  mixed sinkers so came up with this plan

I took a whole lot of juice/cold drink plastic  bottles and cut off the  tops and put them into a plastic supermarket shopping basket making sure that  they fit all snugly. I used bigger bottles for big sinkers and smaller bottles  for smaller sinkers. Then sorted my sinkers into sizes and shapes and put them  into the juice bottles

Now i can immediately see how many of each I have before I go to the tackle  shop to buy more - I was always buying too many of the wrong sizes etc  -  I think we all do this!

Now when I go down to the beach to fish, I take only what I need for the outing  and pop the remainder back into their places when I return

What is nice about it is they always stay sorted and ready to - and when I go  on a longer trip to Transkei etc, I just pop the basket into the back of my  bakkie -when I come back - they are still sorted and i can immediately see  which ones need to be replenished!
