I hear that the big swells and strong currents have made inlets into the estuary and also a channel has formed linking the sea to the estuary. (clap) has anybody heard or has more clarity on this.

Cheers

OR you could phone 'Raggie Tackle' in st.lucia town and they will be able to tell you of the estuary's condition.

hey guys.
Jst spoke to stanley, local police officer st lucia.
They had big seas the past week, all is calm now.
With the big seas, wave's did manage to pump some water into the eastury. It's still closed.
There is a channel between the eastury and the umfolozi mouth. So all the water is leaving through the back door.
Fishing good at vidal, big rockcod, stumpies and pompies.

St lucia, small salmon around 1-2kg class. Shad also still around.
Many, many sharks around.

Hope this helps.

Does this mean the eataury is now linked to the Mfolozi river, which is linked to the sea (mouth open) ?
