Silicone diluent?
« on: December 09, 2010, 08:12:59 AM »
I've been trying to find a diluent for silicone for an experiment I'm conducting... anything you guys can suggested that's not dangerous or super difficult/expensive to get?

I want to use the regular silicone from the shops and dilute it a bit so I can play around with a few shapes and molds...

Did you come right? I know thinners will do it but I'd suggest you do a small amount first to test if the silicone will still set.

Not yet Bennie. Got hold of turpentine and acetone but have been busy lately... Will try this weekend.
