@ Nemesis what wire/rod is that exactly and have you put it to a test.

Are guys out there using different material,I have been told to use stainless steel tig welding wire or spring steel.

Thanks in advance for any feed back.
Hey Star, i think its called 2.0mm Tig Wire, they use it for welding. I do know guys also use 1.6mm tig rods, but i find it to be to thin. Tig wire is usually quite expensive,
but i managed to get some from free.
You can also purchase 2.0mm "Draw Wire" from most electrical shops which is cheap and works.
I've caught a few Diamonds, and some sharks in 10 to 30kg range with them so far, and i havent had a problem yet. I don't really slide much these days tho
There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot.

I just use a large forged/stamped split ring that wont bend out of shape and a swivel for a DIY stopper ring? But I'm sliding for edibles..

Thank Visenvryheid

Will keep an eye out for those. What is the purpose of the swivel on the stopper ring?
